I’m Jes and the owner of Di Carafa.
Catering and food have been in my family for generations. My Grandpa opened a pastry shop years ago, Camilleri Dolceria, and now it’s run by my uncle. I have very fond memories of working there and it’s probably where my passion for food started.
I decided to open Di Carafa because for me food has three meanings; art, taste and pleasure. During my career in catering many clients suggested I should open my own restaurant and with my passion that’s just what I did!
I opened the restaurant in part of the Palace Carafa designed by Georgio Carafa and it’s in my home-town of Valletta. I’m not sure what the future holds because for now I’m totally focused on producing amazing food and providing an outstanding dining experience for each and every one of my clients.
